I have an area, approximately 20 x 20, next to my cement driveway.I would like to make that area an extended portion of the driveway by laying down gravel.I was told i need to get rid of the first layer of dirt before i put gravel down to prevent the gravel from sinking into the dirt once the car drives over it.Is this accurate the way i see it, the gravel is going to start to sink into.
